Saucony Kinvara 3 (women’s)

I was given a pair of Saucony Kinvara 3 running shoes at an event I attended that was run by www.sportsshoes.com

I was really impressed by the professionalism of the team who not only gave out the trainers, but analysed my running style and filmed me as I ran on a treadmill. After the gait analysis they were able to prescribe a trainer which suited the support I needed. Surprisingly, my running style was pretty good and I ran evenly, which meant I only needed minimal support from a trainer – which turned out to be the Kinvara 3. Not only did they look good, they were light weight and felt comfortable.

I road tested the trainers in a short run taken by a running coach. Straight away they felt good and they didn’t need to be worked in at all. The fit felt very natural and I had no worries about excessive rubbing or blisters.

I asked for my normal size – a five – and found they were quite a narrow fit which suited me as they felt secure and stable. I didn’t feel they were restrictive at all; I would say they were a comfortable ‘snug’ fit.

Since the event I have used the Kinvara 3s extensively, including 0n the road, running hills, on the beach and in the gym! When I first started wearing them I got lots of compliments about how they looked. They aren’t just good looking running shoes – they’re good fashion trainers, too! I feel Saucony are doing a good job developing trainers that are fit for purpose but are keeping up with current trends.

The RRP – £94.99 – is not small and although initially this may seem costly, they have lasted a long time and have outlived many of my other pairs of running shoes whilst taking quite a battering. I feel they are therefore worth the RRP – and I know for sure that Saucony often have decent sales where the Kinvara range are quite heavily discounted.

Overall, very happy and looking forward to using the Kinvara more.

Saucony describe the Kinvara 3 as having ‘so much technology, so little shoe’. Engineered to stay out of the way of the runner. They say the Flexifilm upper allows greater movement and comfort without affecting performance, whist their ProGrid technology in the midsole gives a unique blend of responsiveness and cushioning.

A mixture of science and simplicity

A great minimalist shoe that offers a host of technological features that you don't need to understand. Fast, light and responsive - we're very impressed. Just a shame it's not a touch more durable
